Terms of Service

1.1 These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Crestline SAT Prep website, account features, tutoring services, diagnostic tools, practice tests, explanations, scheduling features, checkout flows, and related services. By accessing or using the website or services, the user agrees to these Terms.

1.2 If a user does not agree to these Terms, the user should not access or use the website or services. If these Terms are accepted on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian accepting them represents that they have authority to do so.

2.1 Crestline SAT Prep provides private SAT tutoring and preparation resources that may be used by high school students, including minors. A student under the age of 18 should use the website and services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

2.2 A parent or guardian is responsible for approving account creation, tutoring purchases, scheduling, intake submissions, and communications involving a minor. Crestline SAT Prep may request confirmation from a parent or guardian before providing services or making account changes related to a minor.

3.1 Certain features require account registration and login through Clerk, including Google sign in where available. Users agree to provide accurate account information and to keep account access credentials secure.

3.2 Users are responsible for activity that occurs through their account, except to the extent caused by Crestline SAT Prep's own misconduct. Users must promptly notify Crestline SAT Prep if they believe an account has been accessed without authorization.

4.1 The website and services may be used only for lawful personal SAT preparation, tutoring, scheduling, and educational purposes. Users may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass access controls, impersonate another person, access another user's account, introduce malicious code, or use the service in a manner that harms Crestline SAT Prep, its users, or its service providers.

4.2 Crestline SAT Prep may investigate suspected misuse and may restrict access where it determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a user has violated these Terms or created risk for the service or other users.

5.1 Tutoring services are provided as educational support for SAT preparation. Details such as session length, tutoring format, package type, scheduling process, and pricing are described on the website or in written communications from Crestline SAT Prep.

5.2 Tutoring availability may vary. Crestline SAT Prep may modify, pause, or discontinue particular tutoring options, scheduling windows, or service features at any time, subject to any specific written commitment already made for a purchased service.

6.1 Users are responsible for scheduling sessions through the available scheduling process and for attending sessions on time. If a user needs to cancel or reschedule, the user should contact Crestline SAT Prep or use the applicable scheduling tool as soon as practicable.

6.2 Cancellation, rescheduling, lateness, and no-show treatment may depend on the circumstances, timing of notice, package purchased, and any written policy or communication provided at booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Crestline SAT Prep may determine rescheduling availability, session credit, and treatment of missed or late sessions in its reasonable discretion.

7.1 Tutoring purchases may require payment before scheduling or receiving services. Users agree to provide accurate billing and contact information and to pay all charges shown at checkout or otherwise agreed in writing.

7.2 Payments are processed by Stripe. Crestline SAT Prep does not store full credit card numbers on its own servers. Stripe may apply its own terms, security procedures, and payment processing requirements.

7.3 Prices may not include applicable taxes, processing fees, or other charges unless stated. Users are responsible for taxes, fees, or charges that apply to their purchase where applicable.

8.1 Refund eligibility, if any, may depend on the tutoring package, timing of the request, services already provided, scheduling history, and any written terms provided at purchase. Unless otherwise stated in writing or required by law, refund decisions are made by Crestline SAT Prep in its reasonable discretion.

8.2 Refund requests may be sent to crestlinesatprep@gmail.com. Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be issued.

9.1 Crestline SAT Prep does not guarantee any particular score increase, SAT score, admissions outcome, scholarship outcome, academic result, testing result, or other performance outcome.

9.2 Results depend on many factors outside Crestline SAT Prep's control, including prior preparation, attendance, practice habits, effort, test-day conditions, school coursework, health, and individual student needs.

10.1 The website may include diagnostic quizzes, practice tests, answer explanations, scoring estimates, review materials, and related educational content. These materials are provided for educational preparation and review purposes.

10.2 Practice and diagnostic scores may be estimates and may not predict official test scores or outcomes. Crestline SAT Prep may update, remove, correct, or revise educational content at any time.

11.1 The website, page text, practice questions, diagnostics, explanations, scoring materials, designs, software, and other content are owned by Crestline SAT Prep or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

11.2 Users may use the content for personal SAT preparation only. Users may not copy, reproduce, publish, sell, license, scrape, crawl, redistribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or use the content to train, develop, or improve another product or service without written permission from Crestline SAT Prep.

12.1 Users may submit information through accounts, forms, scheduling tools, diagnostics, practice tests, and communications. Users represent that they have the right to submit the information they provide.

12.2 Crestline SAT Prep may use user submissions and student data to provide tutoring, operate accounts, save progress, communicate with users, prepare for sessions, maintain records, improve services, and enforce these Terms, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

13.1 The website and services may rely on third-party providers, including Clerk for authentication, Google for Google sign in, Supabase for saved diagnostic and practice data, Stripe for payment processing, and scheduling or intake tools for tutoring logistics.

13.2 Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Crestline SAT Prep is not responsible for third-party services outside of its control, but it uses them to support website and tutoring operations.

14.1 Crestline SAT Prep aims to keep the website and services available, but availability is not guaranteed. The website may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party outages, or other circumstances.

14.2 Crestline SAT Prep may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the website or services at any time, subject to any specific written commitments for purchased tutoring services.

15.1 The website, educational content, diagnostics, practice tools, and related services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Crestline SAT Prep disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation to the extent permitted by law.

15.2 Educational content is not a substitute for official testing guidance, school counseling, admissions advice, or professional educational evaluation.

16.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crestline SAT Prep will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to the website or services.

16.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crestline SAT Prep's total liability for claims arising from or related to the website or services will not exceed the amount paid by the user to Crestline SAT Prep for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose.

17.1 To the extent permitted by law, users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crestline SAT Prep from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to the user's misuse of the website or services, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person's rights.

18.1 Crestline SAT Prep may suspend or terminate access to accounts, protected features, practice tools, or services if it determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a user has violated these Terms, created security risk, misused the service, failed to pay amounts owed, or acted in a manner inconsistent with the tutoring relationship.

18.2 Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute-related provisions, will survive termination.

19.1 Crestline SAT Prep may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date above indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the website or services after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

20.1 Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing, these Terms will be governed by the laws of the state in which Crestline SAT Prep principally operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

21.1 SAT is a trademark of College Board. Crestline SAT Prep is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by College Board.
